What happened to GloriaFood

Oracle acquired GloriaFood in 2021 as part of its restaurant technology portfolio. After reviewing the business, Oracle issued a formal end-of-life notice: new sign-ups were closed and existing accounts were notified in-product that the offering would be retired.

This is a wind-down, not a migration to a newer Oracle product. If you are on GloriaFood today, the work of moving is yours to do — and the deadline is fixed.

When exactly does GloriaFood shut down?

The published retirement date is 30 April 2027.

There is no announced extension. Treat the date as hard, and do not leave the migration to the final month — the risky part is not the software, it is updating every link that points at your old ordering page, and some of those (printed QR codes, flyers, menu cards) take time to replace.

What stops working on the retirement date

• Your ordering page and website widget. Every "Order Now" button pointing at GloriaFood stops resolving. Links in your Google Business Profile, Instagram bio and printed QR codes lead to a dead page.
• Your Facebook ordering button. The GloriaFood-powered order action on your Facebook page stops accepting orders, so social traffic no longer converts.
• FoodBooking table reservations. Reservation flows, capacity rules and deposit collection built on FoodBooking go offline alongside the ordering product.
• Payment processing. Card payments taken through the Oracle payment service tied to GloriaFood stop settling, so online prepayment has to move elsewhere.
• Your menu, order history and guest data. Export what you can while the dashboard is live. Oracle has not published a self-service recovery process for after the date.
• White-label apps built on GloriaFood. Agencies and resellers on the partner programme lose the underlying platform on the same day.

What to export right now

Do this today, not the week before. Log into your GloriaFood dashboard and download:

1. Your full menu — categories, items, descriptions, prices, photos, modifiers and add-ons.
2. Your order history, at whatever granularity the export allows.
3. Any customer contact list you can reach — names, emails, phone numbers, order frequency.
4. Your delivery zone and fee configuration, so you can recreate it rather than re-derive it.
5. A screenshot of your opening-hours and service-type setup, which is rarely exportable.

What to replace GloriaFood with

The trap here is replacing a commission-free tool with a marketplace. It solves the software problem immediately and costs you 15–30% of every order permanently. If GloriaFood worked for you because it took no cut, look for the same model:

• A flat monthly fee rather than a percentage of sales.
• An ordering link under your own name, not a listing beside competitors.
• Exportable guest data, so you are not repeating this exercise in three years.

How to migrate off GloriaFood

The whole move is usually done inside a day. The sequence that causes the fewest lost orders:

1. Export everything from GloriaFood (above).
2. Open your new account and get the menu rebuilt — we do this free if you send us your GloriaFood link.
3. Place a test order end to end, including payment and the kitchen alert.
4. Swap every public link: website Order button, Google Business Profile, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, printed QR codes.
5. Message your regulars with the new link before the old one dies, not after.
